A conversation with an atheist.
:: Alister McGrath and Richard Dawkins :: These are two pretty smart dudes! This video is pretty interesting for sure and some parts are kinda funny. It's almost as if they have both scripted their conversation after reading each others book. However, it's worth watching if you're interested in this kind of thing.
The thing that really interests me is to hear the thoughts of Dawkins, a staunch atheist. It a position I just can't fathom but I am very interested by the thought process. I wonder where you have hope if not in something bigger than yourself. I wonder at what point, what happened, that lead you the atheist to this conclusion. It's seems that often it's an even or influence rather than simply a learned position.
Anyway, check out this video and let me know what you think.
Here's a bonus video of Dawkins and Anglican Archbishop Rowan Williams. I love Williams, such a great posture in these conversations.
Funny side note :: I had a conversation with my theology professor in college after C.S. Lewis came up in class. He told me that apologetics are from the Devil. FUNNY!!! AND there is probably some truth in that but I think he was just trying to make a point. I still laugh when I think about his comment.
