Music Monday 2.0 // Tim Hughes
Often these posts will be more obscure / my favorites / my friends… just good music the world needs to know about! Sometimes that will be Christian music, more often it will just be good music, after all, what makes music Christian or not? I’m not really sure. Today I’m sharing with you a worship artist, if you have ever been to church you have probably heard a song or two by this guy. One of the songs he wrote is Here I Am to Worship. According some sources, the most popular worship song of the last 10 years.
Tim Hughes is a stud when it comes to song writing and really putting his heart for God to paper. I wouldn’t say I listen to him a ton but recently his song Everything has been a unintended mantra. Since I heard it a month or so ago at a Church in Kansas City I haven’t been able to get it out of my mind. So finally I got on iTunes and hunted it down. Found out the song was by Tim Hughes, of course. So I downloaded the album entitled Hold Nothing Back. It's a pretty solid worship albumn if I do say so myself. The song that seems to be most popular these days is Happy Day, probably my least favorite song on the CD. But it’s a solid CD and the song Everything is worth the price of CD.
Here is a You Tube video of Tim playing this song acoustic and having a little convo with Vickie Beaching about it.
